Aging Well for All: Moving from Equality to Equity, Justice, & Inclusion

Date/Time: Wednesday, June 19 - 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Economic, health, and social experiences accumulate over a lifetime of experiences, and they determine socioeconomic and health outcomes later in life. For many older adults, this can result in inequalities. If equity is the means to achieve equality, we must discuss the unequal distribution of resources among men, women, people of color, the LGBT+ community, and immigrant and rural communities as they age. Hear from leaders who are using experience, resources, innovation, and policy to achieve equity by treating older individuals according to their circumstances, and by providing them with the tools of opportunity.
