Program Description

Supporting students’ academic success is a goal across higher education, but one that at times proves elusive. Often, uncoordinated efforts stifle progress toward this end. This seminar series thus aims to present a path toward meaningful integration of teaching, learning and assessment at the course, program and institutional levels to support student success. This online series offers strategies for developing trainings and resources that support knowledge and skills acquisition among faculty, leading to improved educational quality and student outcomes.

Topics to be covered in the seminar include:

  • Learning theory, universal design, and equity issues
  • Professional development models
  • Assignment design
  • Steps for strategic design of an integrated teaching, learning and assessment project
  • Evaluating & making meaning in student learning, program learning and organizational learning
Who Should Attend

Faculty, staff, and administrators who lead or oversee aspects of the institution’s assessment and faculty development efforts are encouraged to participate.

This seminar is open to all Higher Learning Commission and WASC Senior College and University member institutions and it is asked that each institution register a maximum of two attendees.  View program fees.
