Director of Admission
Garrison Forest School

 

 

 

 

Catie is the Senior Associate Director of Admission for Garrison Forest School an all-girls boarding school in Maryland, and serves as the social media coordinator for AISAP. Catie came to Garrison Forest School in July 2014 as Assistant Director of Admission and became Senior Associate Director of Admission in July 2018. Catie holds a Master of Arts in Anthropology from The University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Hamilton College. She currently works in admissions, focusing on building relationships, developing brand management and enhancing student mentorship. She has worked in a variety of settings, including research design, data analysis and implementation. In the ever-changing, fast-paced and competitive landscape of independent schools, Catie implements brand awareness and social media strategies to broaden the reach and expand the awareness of her schools, as well as engage with a variety of constituencies. Catie is also a 2005 graduate of Wyoming Seminary in Kingston, Pennsylvania, where she was a Levi Sprague scholar. Before arriving at Garrison Forest, she served as assistant to the president of Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. She also served as a member of the history faculty and assistant athletic director at The Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania. While there, she was a dorm parent and head coach for both the girls’ varsity basketball and lacrosse programs. Catie played lacrosse at Hamilton College as a walk-on, four-year starter, earning the role of captain her senior year and helping to secure Hamilton’s first-ever national championship in 2008.
