The Center for Early Education
Katrina has close to 15 years of experience in independent school enrollment management, admissions, marketing, and financial aid, as well as a background in preschool teaching. She believes that a successful admissions process and school must actively work to support diversity, equity, and inclusion. Katrina appreciates the intersection of warmth, connection, and data in enrollment management. She builds relationships across school communities and tailors information to be relevant and helpful to various constituents. She brings a fresh, informed, and forward-thinking collaborative approach to the table and loves working with children, parents, faculty, administrators, and trustees in creating the best school community for each member individually and collectively. Beginning in July 2019, Katrina is the Director of Admissions at The Center for Early Education, a Toddler-6th Grade Los Angeles independent school of over 500 students. From 2012-2019, Katrina was the Director of Admissions & Tuition Assistance at Redwood Day, a 400 student K-8 Oakland independent school that has experienced significant growth of its programs, enrollment, and facilities over her time as Admissions Director. Katrina has also been a Director of Financial Aid/Associate Director of Admissions, an Assistant Director of Admissions, a Middle School Student Advisor, and has taught in preschool. She has held a number of leadership and mentor roles within the East Bay Independent Schools Association (consortium of 40 K-8 schools), has recently served on a CAIS accreditation team, and enjoys presenting workshops to colleagues at national conferences. Beyond admissions and enrollment management, Katrina loves parenting, travel, cooking, reading, running, yoga, and writing.
