Bio
Dr. Mary Charles was raised in Laurens, SC, and graduated from Winthrop University. She then went to the Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Dental Medicine where she earned her DMD in 2006. She has been actively involved in continuing her education, and as a result is now a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. The main area of focus for the last few years has been on Orofacial Pain, TMJ Disorders and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Besides standard CE courses and seminars covering these topics, Dr. Mary completed:
- A one year Orofacial Pain Continuum through the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry.
- She is continuing her studies by pursuing a Master’s in Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine from the University of Southern California’s Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry. This is a three year residency which she is planned to complete in 2018.
