This participation course will explore the challenges of occlusion practitioners face every day in restorative practice and look at how they can use this information to make dentistry more predictable and help patients stay healthy and comfortable.

Attendees will learn how to assess a patients occlusal risk low, moderate or high and then management strategies for creating predictability in the face of the risk factors. The process will begin with an overview of completing a comprehensive joint, muscle and functional exam and interpreting the findings. Occlusal management typically involves the use of a deprogrammer, occlusal appliance or equilibration.
