Bio
John has been involved in the container terminal industry for some years. He is currently coordinating the container and supply chain security efforts across the Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH) Group. Prior to this, he was the Chief Strategy Officer at LINE, an HPH subsidiary, where John has been involved in many different roles. These have included strategy, product management and consulting. John has also had planning and management responsibilities at Hongkong International Terminals (HIT), another member of the HPH Group and the largest container terminal operator in Hong Kong. John was in charge of terminal logistics and control systems for the company and managed the introduction of new technologies to enable the automation of equipment and processes.

Prior to joining HPH, John has experience in a wide range of industries. As a management consultant at Coopers & Lybrand and Ernst & Whinney he was involved in strategy and IT assignments, amongst many others.

John was trained as an engineer and also holds Masters degrees in transport planning and business.
