Rachel is the Senior Solicitor at the Govanhill office of the well-known Govan Law Centre which works primarily with EU migrants and Roma population in terms of realising their rights in housing, employment and benefits. Rachel has worked there for 4 years and has seen many changes for EU migrants over the years. Rachel graduated with a First class honours law degree from University of Edinburgh and a Masters Degree in Human Rights Law at Strathclyde University before completing her traineeship at HBJ Gateley, and then moving to Govan Law Centre as a newly qualified solicitor. She was previously a Trustee at Edinburgh Womens’ Aid and now works with a number of charities and organisations in Govanhill.
