International Design & Development Conference (IDDC)
ABOUT
Big Projects, Big Ideas

The 2nd annual International Design & Development Conference (IDDC) will be held in Seoul, Korea, August 27-29, 2012. The IDDC focuses on commercial and residential design, architecture and development from an international perspective.

This year’s theme is “Big Projects, Big Ideas,” where you’ll learn from the urban planners and architects who’ve created some of the largest projects in the world—from the Mission Hills Volcanic Mineral Springs and Spa (Hainan Island, China) to the Dubai Creek Master Plan: Business Bay and Lagoons (Dubai, UAE). They’ll discuss the challenges of massive scale development and what it takes to make a “big idea” a reality!

The future of design and development is shaped by the visionaries of today. At IDDC you’ll hear from thought leaders on brand development—“Developing for Trans-local Hospitality: The Future of Experiential Hotels” and “Trends in Urbanization: Creating a Living Design Experience” and more.

Asia is recognized as one of the most dynamic regions in the world for development growth. The IDDC gives you an opportunity to meet with influential leaders who are shaping the future direction of design, brand and project development in Korea and throughout Asia. Korea has come into the forefront as a hotbed of development activity and a country to watch for design innovation and inspiration.

We invite you to join us and experience the IDDC. You’ll have a glimpse into the future of design and development and a behind-the-scenes look at the urban planning, design and development process from the creators of the most awe-inspiring projects around the world. Learn from the developers of new concepts, ideas and brands that will shape the future of design and development. And from trend- setters predicting what the future might be.

The IDDC kicks off with an opening reception and dinner, sponsored by Guri City, on Monday, August 27, giving attendees an opportunity to meet with government officials, speakers and peers in a festive environment.

Who Should Attend: Architects, interior designers, purchasing agents, facility (hotel, condominium, retail, office, government and multi-housing), owners/operators, developers and investors and government officials at an executive level, working on residential and commercial projects in Asia.
