Conor Walsh is an
assistant professor of mechanical and biomedical engineering at the Harvard
School of Engineeringand Applied Sciences and a core faculty member at the
Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering. He is the founder of the
Harvard Biodesign Lab, which brings together researchers from the engineering,
industrial design, apparel, clinical, and business communities to develop new technologies and translate them to
industrial partners. His research focuses on applying disruptive technologies
to the development of robotic devices for augmenting and restoring human
performance. His research interests include new approaches to design,
manufacture, and control of wearable robotic devices, and characterizing their

John O'Dea
With over 23 years experience in the medical
device industry, he has overseen the successful launch of eight electronic
medical device products in the past fourteen years. He co-founded Caradyne, an
Irish respiratory medical device company in 1998, which was selling products in
30 countries prior to its acquisition by Respironics Inc. in 2004. Prior to
founding Crospon, he served as General Manager of Respironics Ireland. In the
past 25 years he has held R&D management positions in Nellcor Puritan
Bennett and engineering positions in Digital Equipment Inc. and in Dataproducts
Inc. He is a named author on eight issued U.S. patent families. He is a

Dr Conor Hanley is Senior Vice
President, Chronic Disease Management, ResMed Inc. Within
ResMed, Conor has previously managed ResMed’s cardiology business unit and
its Ventures and Initiatives Business unit. Prior to
ResMed, Conor was a co-founder and CEO of BiancaMed a company that spun-out of
University College Dublin and was headquartered at NovaUCD, the Centre for New
Ventures and Entrepreneurs, to
commercialise a novel, non-contact method to monitor sleep and breathing
in the home for consumer and medical applications. ResMed Inc acquired
BiancaMed in July 2011 which was renamed as ResMed Sensor Technologies Ltd
