Conference Schedule
Monday, September 17, 2018
8:00 am – 2:30 pm Conference Workshops #1 to #4
Workshop #1: Energy Treasure Hunt Projects for Compressed Air! Learn demand-side projects to improve common system design errors and start using less compressed air! Solutions include zero air-loss drains, air knives-nozzles-blowers for blow-off air, leaks, pneumatic circuits, vacuum venturis, shut-off valves, AODD pump controls, control panel cooling and dryers.
Workshop #2: Optimized Compressed Air Specifications and Supply Strategies. Define and challenge engineering specifications for air compressor horsepower, plant pressure and air quality. Learn to measure and monitor the system and simulate system changes. Answer questions such as: How can we reduce plant pressure? What compressor controls do we have– if we use less compressed air is kW consumption reduced? Is VSD or Oil-Free the right solution? Does the whole plant need a -40 ˚F dewpoint dryer? Do we need 99.9% nitrogen?
Workshop #3: Intensive Sales Engineer & Utility Rep Training. An in-depth consultative factory-visit training course. Learn to ask the right questions about the compressed air, blower and vacuum systems. Receive a product technology line-up summary and know which present potential red flags in which situations. Deploy a walk-through audit technique to discover if more investigation is warranted and how measurement is done.
Workshop #4: Vacuum and Blower System Fundamentals Training. Learn the basics about vacuum systems and different technology types and applications. Explore current topics such as liquid ring replacement with dry pumps, centralized vacuum systems and VSD vacuum pumps. Review blower technologies for pneumatic conveying applications and areas of opportunities for improvement.
