Becoming a Culturally Competent Congregation 2021

This is the first training and application session of the Anti Racism Task Force Cultural Competency Forum Module - 1 Background and Foundational Concepts. The Anti Racism Task Force Cultural Competency Forum is an emerging platform created to enable persons and congregations to become culturally competent. The forum consists of 5 modules containing educational and training material on essential topics important for gaining cultural competency. Each module contains 3 or more monthly sessions for learning and application. The first hour of each monthly session is dedicated to training, the second hour is dedicated to application using cases from current congregational settings.

Beginning in 2022, prior to each module, a regional training event will be conducted to enable local congregations improved opportunities to participate in cultural competency training. The first regional training will be held in March 2022.
