AALDC 2014 Aspen

Conference

We are proud to invite you to the 15th Conference and welcome the support and participation of the sponsors; the Institute of Public Accountants, Virgin Australia, graysonline, Crisp Legal, Hill Rogers Financial Services, NSC Group, Baillieu Holst Ltd, MyAccounts, The Aussie Group, Atanasov Audit & Consulting, 180 Group, Carrera and Head.  Without their support the conference simply would not go ahead.

The inaugural Conference was held in 2000 in Aspen, Colorado.  In 2001 it was moved to Whistler, British Columbia, where it was held for the next six years before returning to Colorado, at Steamboat Ski Resort in 2007 and then back to Aspen in 2008 where it has been held since.  We are very pleased to be returning to Aspen in 2014.

Formally the Australian Accountants & Lawyers Conference, the program was expanded in 2013 to accommodate company directors to better reflect the recent delegate mix of the conference. Non accountants & lawyers who have attended have indicated the professional program is relevant to the everyday operations of a business. This is particularly appropriate given accountants and lawyers are an integral part of any business and that prudent directors will often seek the counsel of their professional advisors when considering many business decisions.  We hope to attract more directors for the mutual benefit of all delegates and enhance the networking opportunities already available at the conference.

Clearly, the professional and director who keeps up to date with recent developments is in a better position to best conduct his or her practice or business.  How do we identify problems before they overtake our clients and what steps can be taken to maintain systems at efficient and effective levels? In its 15th year, the Conference will create meaningful discussion to find new and creative solutions to problems faced by the professions.  The program is designed to provide CPE, CPD, CLE and MCLE points for participation (however participants should make independent enquiry*).

Previous Conferences have been well attended by accountants, lawyers, directors and the cross fertilisation, without exception, has professionally extended every presentation.  Additionally, the open forum sessions have provided a stimulating interchange beneficial to all delegates and networking opportunities.

The conference program has been structured to be of professional interest to other advisers who are often called upon by the accountant, lawyer and director.  We welcome and encourage non accountants and lawyers to attend the conference for the mutual benefit of all delegates.

The Australian Accountants, Lawyers & Directors Conference™ 2014 will emulate the high standard of professional content and relaxed friendly environment of previous conferences.

The Conference provides a great opportunity to compensate families for the disruption caused by the demands of the busy professional and commercial life.  Your family can be actively or passively involved in various aspects of the program.

Early registration is highly recommended.  Numbers are limited and places will be allocated strictly in order of receipt of deposit payment.  Travelplan Australia has special rates with airlines however these seats will fill quickly and once exhausted, higher fare levels will likely apply.  It is important to BOOK EARLY to avoid disappointment.
