Laura Adkins
Laura E. Adkins is the JTA’s (Jewish Telegraphic Agency) award-winning Deputy Opinion Editor. She has written for The New York Times, SELF, the Observer, and elsewhere. As a writer covering the often-insular and media-averse Orthodox Jewish community from within, Laura has to carefully research and prepare for interviews on topics ranging from communal dress codes to allegations of sexual abuse against minors. Lisa Armstrong is an award-winning journalist with credits in The New York Times, The Intercept, The Daily Beast, Rolling Stone, USA Today, The New Yorker and several other websites and publications. Renée Bacher has written about her brief stint as a helicopter mom for The New York Times; reviewed rolling pins, photo printers and travel umbrellas for The Wall Street Journal; penned dozens of stories about cognition and the brain for AARP, covered shelter dogs for Parade and Good Housekeeping as well as everything you wanted to know (and maybe didn't want to know) about health for WebMD. Alan Brown is currently senior editor at Mechanical Engineering, the publication of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, where he writes about topics that range from AI and robotics to skin regeneration and biomedicine. He had freelanced for the organization as a contract editor for 10 prior to joining it full time. Prior to that, he had freelanced for a variety of professional society and university publications because they paid fairly, did not go out of business, and always needed good writers.

In her fourteen years at Random House, Porscha Burke has acquired works by Dr. Maya Angelou, Rev. Dr. Amy Butler, and Chief David O. Dom Yanchunas is National President of the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE), a 1,900-member journalism association that fosters excellence in the B2B sector. Dom is a New York City-based financial journalist entering his 25th year in the profession, currently a Reporter with Fastmarkets AMM covering the steel industry. From 2013 to 2016, he was Editor at Professional Mariner, the Journal of the Maritime Industry. He started with Professional Mariner in 2006 as a freelance writer and was elevated to staff as Managing Editor in 2011. Simultaneously from 2006 to 2011, Dom was a freelance writer and Contributing Editor with COINage magazine. Earlier he served as reporter or editor with Bloomberg News, Associated Press and daily newspapers including the Press & Sun-Bulletin in Binghamton, N.Y., and Times-Tribune in Scranton, Pa., where he was founding editor of the regional BusinessWeekly section. Dom is a native of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
