Christina Morrison - Director, Choreographer, Instructor

Christina has been dancing her whole life she has been dancing salsa for over 18 years and is one of the only instructors in Canada certified by the World Salsa University in Puerto Rico to teach LA,

New York & Puerto Rican Salsa. She has competed twice for Canada in the World Salsa Open Championships and is now a certified judge for the World Salsa Open Championships.

For over 15 years Christina has been the director & choreographer of the internationally touring dance company Salsa Caliente

Christine and her team from Salsa Caliente will be joining us for a Salsa class at our closing Global Party

Ever since his first heartbeat JPOD has had music in his soul. His natural sense of rhythm and movement led to a genuine love for dancing. Equipped with creative motivation and armed with technical knowledge he continues an original sound rich with flavor. To keep him dancing JPOD consistently makes music with punch beats and bouncy basslines. But his strong commitment to music with soul has inspired incorporating vintage sounds as funk, world, reggae, swing, blues, bluegrass, latin, motown and more!  With such a range of styles JPOD always takes you on a diverse journey that tranforms the dance floor. What could be better than smiling and dancing?  

DRUM N DJ - Global Party 10:30pm - 12:30am  

DJ Kav has built a name for himself as one of the biggest DJ’s in Canada. Kav has opened up for some of the biggest names in the industry such as Rihanna, Snoop Dogg, Pitbull, LMFAO to name but a few. To radio listeners, Kav holds down Calgary’s #1 mix show on 90.3 Amp Radio. To club goers, Kav is best known for his talent as a nightclub DJ, with the crowd-pleasing sought after Drum N DJ brand also featuring Drummer Brett Jones and Vocalist Kay L. 

The Canadian dancer, choreographer, producer and artist, Edgar Reyes was born and raised in Calgary Alberta. Edgar is one of Calgary’s leading choreographers that emerged in the wake of the influences of traveling around the world, training in Jazz, Afro-Cuban, Swing, Latin and funk styles by the Boogaloos.  He has spent many years training as a Jazz performer with the only full time North American professional jazz company called Decidedly Jazz Danceworks. This expansion of his adaptability in movement allowed him to achieve his successful appearance on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA Season 3. His work has allowed him to travel internationally and work with such choreographers as, Luther Brown, Blake McGrath, Gil Duldulao, Sabrina Matthews, and Mia Michael's. Edgar continues to train and explore his creativity in dance, production, and artistic direction.

Lukas Lock - Global Party

Lukas is the co-founder and executive director of 3rd Street Beat Studios: Edmonton's all street dance studio since 2002. He is also director, dancer and lead choreographer for the 3SB crew who won first place in Montreal in 2014 at the national hip hop championships and represented Canada in Las Vegas at HHI the past two years; making it to the semi-finals.
