Accommodation

Rooms at the Marriott Renaissance Seattle Hotel have been blocked off for APEC delegates at the meeting rate of $159.00 plus 15.6% tax.

IMPORTANT – PLEASE NOTE

Demand for hotels in Seattle is high, so reservations must be made well in advance.  Therefore, in order to receive the preferential rate for your room, please act quickly.

Also please note that registration for the Conference does not automatically register you for the hotel.  Hotel registration is a separate process.  Once you register for the Conference you will get an email to register for the hotel.

 

 

After you register for the conference you will receive a conference confirmation e-mail. The email will include information on hotel registration as seen below.

  • Click on “Check Availability” - Group information will pull up
  • Follow remaining directions to complete your reservation

A credit card is required to make reservations.  Card must be valid through check-out date.

A room has not been confirmed unless a confirmation number is given to you

Reservations must be received on or before Monday, March 15, 2010

 

If a message appears that rooms are no longer available in the group block, please send an email to group_rooms@renaissanceseattle.com with the group name in the subject line.  Please include the following: name, roommate (if applicable), arrival date, departure date, credit card, daytime telephone number, special requests.

 Cancellation policy on room reservations is 72 hours prior to arrival date. Any cancellations received after this date will be charged one night’s room and tax as cancellation fee.

 

 

Parking is available.  Daily rates are: $26.00 self or $30.00 valet (taxes not included).

VISA REQUIREMENTS

All delegates are required to possess valid passports to enter into the United States.  Delegates from certain APEC economies require visas to enter the United States.  Delegates are responsible for arranging their visas, if required.  For details related to visa requirements for entering the United States, please check with your local United States Embassy.

PUBLIC INDUSTRY FORUM

Industry speakers are welcome to address the Public Industry Forum under the categories listed on the agenda.  Remarks must be limited to 15 minutes.  Please advise interested industry representatives to contact the Conference organizer to schedule. 

FIELD TRIPS

Two field trips are planned for Thursday, June 24.  The State of Washington and industry representatives will demonstrate various GNSS equipment at a site near the Conference.

Another field trip will include a visit to Boeing.  The facility is not open to the public, but the company provides access to its business partners and dignitaries.

Field trips are space limited, so early registration is key.

BADGES

Delegates are requested to fill out the Conference Registration form, so that meeting badges can be made in advance of their arrival.

TRANSPORTATION

Many international flights arrive directly into Seattle.  Taxis are readily available at the airport; the average fare from the airport to the hotel is approximately $30.  Grayline Airport Express also runs regular van shuttles from the airport to the hotel district, including to the Marriott Renaissance Hotel.  The van service is $9 each way.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

Temperatures in Seattle in June range from 6-15C (45-60 F).  Rains can occur at any time; average rainfall is 6.99cm (2.75 inches) for the month.

ELECTRICITY SUPPLY

The power supply in the United States is 120V/60Hz.

COMPUTER

The Hotel has high-speed wireless internet access in each room.
