Online CE Certification Course

Asynchronous Work, Plus Six (6) Synchronous Class Meetings (via Zoom) from 7-9 p.m. Eastern Time

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Courses are designed to meet the requirements for the Christian Educator Certification in the PC(USA). This is an online course, with both synchronous and asynchronous assignments. Assignments and course documents will be posted on Blackboard. Each registered participant will receive login credentials to Blackboard, the seminary's learning management system.

This intensive course will explore historical and contemporary theories of human psychological, sociological, and faith development. Participants will apply these theories to teaching people of all ages in the church. Theories for human and faith development and their application will be organized around the significant movements of the Christian Life from Baptism to Confirmation to Resurrection.

The course date is October 8-November 12, 2024. The synchronous class meetings will be via Zoom on TUESDAYS from 7-9 p.m. Eastern Time.
