Our members have shared that research, management of symptoms, and new treatments are most important. Speakers on Thursday and Friday will focus on these topics, with additional material covered in concurrent sessions on Friday afternoon. Syndrome-specific breakout sessions will take place Thursday night. On Friday evening, families are invited to a banquet to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National MPS Society! There’s no dress code for this event; you’re welcome to dress up in your finest party attire or be relaxed in shorts and flip flops.
Friday morning will include an MPS Jingle Bell 5K Run/Walk event!
The weekend will be free to explore the many parks in Walt Disney World, catch up with old friends and meet new families. Society members are welcome to join the board of directors meeting at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19.
Since Disney conferences occur only once every five years, you really must bring your family! To help you with this, there is no registration fee for individuals with MPS or ML, and complimentary childcare will be provided Thursday and Friday for the educational and breakout sessions. In addition to the many activities available at Walt Disney World, the Lake Buena Vista area is home to many theme parks and attractions such as Disney Springs, Busch Gardens of Tampa, Cypress Gardens, Universal Studios, and Sea World.
Don’t miss out on making your own magical moments at Walt Disney World and helping us celebrate our 50 years of achievements! Please join us by attending the annual meeting of the National MPS Society to learn about the activities of the Society. Call Leslie Urdaneta at 919.806.0101 with questions or send an e-mail to leslie@mpssociety.org.
Hotel and conference reservation costs will increase on November 27, 2024. But remember, the room block may fill up beforehand, so register early!
