Expectations of Course Participants

• Participation and engagement in class: each student is expected to attend, prepare for, and participate in all class sessions, which will be held via Zoom on five successive Wednesday evenings in April and May.
• No written assignments are required for this course. Nevertheless, the class is intended to offer the opportunity for deep learning and engaging conversation!
• Agreement among discussion participants is not required. Respect, however, is. Our discussion, as moderated by the instructor and also in small group break-out conversations, will follow a tone of appreciative inquiry. An overriding assumption will be that we can learn from both disagreements and agreements with one another, and that our mutual concern and respect do not depend on our agreeing with one another.
