When Cable and Satellite Network, Nickelodeon, launched in the UK in 1993 James spent the next four years directing and producing shows for the channel that included, “Nickalive”, “Kids Choice Awards”, “TeckNick” and “…And Now This”. At the same time he devised and sold a number of show formats to various broadcasters and super indies. 

His interest working behind the camera was gaining more momentum. After winning a BAFTA (British Oscar) on the BBC show, “Short Change”, he joined Walt Disney/Buena Vista Television and was asked to take a position in Asia Pacific running their creative and production departments. Based in Hong Kong and Singapore he spent five years there producing multi award winning programs, marketing campaigns and series. He left in 2003 as regional Vice President of programming and production, moving to Los Angeles as a freelance consultant and advertising creative, working in all mediums from print to tv to digital. 

Once listed as one of Broadcasting’s top 100, he has freelanced as Creative director and an ad director and worked for broadcasters as diverse as the UK’s Channel 4 to Network 7 Australia before taking up his post as Creative Director for Discovery Networks Europe. In the six years since joining he has overseen production, marketing, advertising, branding and promotion that has won over 60 Promax awards, 2 D&AD’s, a CLIO and a Design Week Award. He continues to publish articles and his popular blog www.lalasisterhood.blogspot.com isn’t as popular as he likes to tell people it is. 

 
Bob Gill

Bob Gill went to London on a whim and stayed fifteen years. He started the design group, Fletcher/Forbes/Gill, later renamed Pentagram. After leaving (it was already getting too big), he continued to work in London for a few more years. He returned to NY to co-write and design Beatlemania, a multi-media and live history of the Sixties which ran on Broadway for three years.

His graphics have been exhibited in major institutions around the world and his lectures are legendary. He has written many books on design and illustration as well as a number for children. He earned a Lifetime Achievement Award from The London Art Directors’ Club and the NY Art DIrectors’ Club elected him into their Hall of Fame. He’s now designing and illustrating in NY. His latest book is Bob Gill, so far.

Debbie Millman is president of the design division at Sterling Brands. In her 16 years with the company, Debbie has worked on the redesign of global brands for Pepsi, P&G, Colgate, Nestle, Hasbro and many others. She’s president emeritus of the AIGA, as well as a contributing author at Print and co-founder and chair of the Masters in Branding program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. In 2005, she began hosting the first weekly radio talk show about design on the Internet. The show, “Design Matters with Debbie Millman,” is now featured on DesignObserver.com and was awarded a Cooper Hewitt National Design Award in 2011. In addition, Debbie is the author of five books on design and branding, including How to Think Like a Great Graphic Designer (Allworth Press, 2007), Look Both Ways: Illustrated Essays on the Intersection  of Life and Design (HOW Books, 2009) and Brand Thinking and Other Noble Pursuits (Allworth Press, 2011).

Coordinating a broad array of projects in industries ranging from financial services and health care, to manufacturing and college marketing, Christine has leveraged her abilities as an analytical and a conceptual thinker who effectively partners with key stakeholders to assess opportunities, facilitate strategic initiatives, and drive successful implementations.

At Vertis Communications, Christine successfully built and launched an online communications tool to support account teams across the country for a major pharmaceutical firm. Most recently she has built and led a project management team for The BOSS Group at Merck and now heads the 35+ design and project management teams at Merck Creative Studios. As a project success expert, Christine has participated as a speaker and panelist at numerous industry events. She has her yellow belt in Six Sigma and is currently obtaining her PMP certification.

In 2008 a comprehensive book titled "Things I have Learned in my Life so far" was published by Abrams. Solo shows on Sagmeister Inc’s work have been mounted in Paris, Zurich, Vienna, Prague, Cologne, Berlin, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago Toronto, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul and Miami. He teaches in the graduate department of the School of Visual Art in New York and lectures extensively on all continents. In 2012 young designer Jessica Walsh became a partner and the company was renamed into Sagmeister & Walsh. A native of Austria, he received his MFA from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and, as a Fulbright Scholar, a master’s degree from Pratt Institute in New York. Brian Singer is a San Francisco-based artist and designer. He currently manages the Communication Design team at Facebook, where he leads a group of designers, engineers and filmmakers.
