Abstracts

IMPORTANT DATES

Abstract submission opened: October 10th, 2013

Abstract submission deadline: January 16th, 2014

Notification to authors: End of February

 

MANDATORY REGISTRATION (NEW THIS YEAR)!

If you want to submit an abstract, you must register to the congress first. In the registration confirmation e-mail, the procedure to submit an abstract will be detailed.

 

CREATING AN ACCOUNT

After you have registered, you will be invited to create an account for the abstract submission.

At this stage, you will be asked to the following documents:

 

A photo

Make sure that the photo you are sending is on white background.

The available file formats are jpg, jpeg, png and bmp.

The photo will be published with the abstract.

 

A short biography

The purpose is to allow the chairperson to introduce the presenting author.

The short biography will only be printed for the chairpersons.

The short biography must have the following ordered paragraphs: Education (1 or 2 sentences), Actual position (1-2 sentences), Domain of activities and specialities (4-5 sentences), Publications (1-2 sentences describing the number of books, publications, case reports, letters to the Editor... written), Society members (1-2 sentences)

Bear in mind that we do not ask for a CV.

 

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

The work should neither have appeared in full in print before the date of the meeting nor been presented previously to a conference.

The person who submits the abstract has to be the presenter of the abstract.
One presenter can submit several abstracts, but only one abstract per presenter will have the opportunity to be selected as an oral presentation.

An abstract submitted for an oral presentation might be selected by the Scientific Committee for a poster presentation.

Abstracts accepted by the Scientific Committee will be published in the on-site programme which will be delivered during the meeting.


 

ABSTRACT INFORMATION

Below is the information you will be asked to fill.

Type of studies: Clinical case or Scientific presentation

Type of presentation: Oral communication only / Oral or poster / Poster presentation only

Topic: one topic from the list below

Disclosure of interest: The purpose it to let people know your potential conflict of interest but not to prevent you from presenting.

Keywords: You must indicate at least 5 keywords (up to 10 keywords maximum).

Co-authors: You can add your co-authors. Their names will be published in the abstract only.

 

ABSTRACT STRUCTURE

Abstract must be written in English.

The text should not exceed 250 words.

Any tables should have the following dimensions width 12 cm and height 6 cm.

Do not include title, authors and affiliations in the text.

The body of the abstract should be organized as follows:

  • Aim: a sentence stating the purpose of the study
  • Methodology and Results: A brief description of methods, if pertinent and a summary of results
  • Conclusion : A statement of conclusions reached

CANCELLATION OF ABSTRACT

Authors wishing to cancel their abstract after the deadline will have to send a request, mentioning the reference number and the title of the abstract, by e-mail to the Scientific Secretariat at eslo2014@clq-group.com.
