By airplane

Malpensa airport (www.sea-aeroportimilano.it) - international flights. Direction to Milan on A8 highway/motorway. Exit following directions to Como-Chiasso (A9 highway) until Como Nord exit (last exit in Italy), then follow directions to Villa Erba. The distance is 40 km. Also the Malpensa Express train trough exchange train in Saronno brings you to COMO Lago. The COMO-Maslianico (line CC6) bus brings you at Villa Erba. (www.sptlinea.it, tel 031.24711).

Linate airport (www.sea-aeroportimilano.it) – national and charter flights. Follow directions to Como-Chiasso (highway A9) until Como Nord exit (last exit in Italy); then follow directions to Villa Erba. The distance is 60 km.

Orio al Serio airport (www.sacbo.it) - national and international flights. Take the Venice – Milan A4 highway, then the Milan–Varese/Como A8 highway, then the Como–Chiasso A9 highway until Como Nord exit (last exit in Italy); then follow directions to Villa Erba. The distance is 90 km.

Lugano Agno airport (www.lugano-airport.ch) – international and Swiss national flights. Follow directions to Lugano and then take the Lugano-Milan highway. Two hundred metres after the border and customs take "Cernobbio Lago" exit and follow directions to Villa Erba. The distance is of roughly 30 km.

   By train

Ferrovie dello Stato (www.trenitalia.com): departures from Milano Centrale. Como Station is on the fast track Milan – Northern Europe. Then to Villa Erba by public bus or taxi. 

Ferrovie Nord Milano (www.ferrovienord.it): from  Milan Piazza Cadorna station to COMO Lago. Then to Villa Erba by public bus or taxi.

   By boat

From Como, in Piazza Cavour, hourly passenger ferry service to Cernobbio, Moltrasio and Tremezzo. The service is also available on request (www.navlaghi.it ).
