Mr Jung-Won Choi
Deputy Director
MOLIT
Jung-won Choi is Deputy Director working at the International Air Transport Division of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. His responsibility includes air services consultations and overall bilateral air transport with Northeast Asian countries including China, Japan and Taiwan; as well as a fair allocation of traffic rights to national carriers. One of his focal projects is to establish and implement policies for the promotion of Low Cost Carriers (LCCs). He holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and Engineering from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea. Since joining the Ministry in 2009, he has been in charge of a number of projects on transportation including railroads and aviation. He is married with one child.
 
Mr Ken Choi

Mr Choi, 48, was appointed as the CEO of Jeju Air in 2012, he has broad international business experience and perspective from his cross-border investment and consulting career. Prior to Jeju Air, Mr Choi demonstrated successful investment track record at global financial institutions and venture capital companies including Citigroup, Sit/Kim International and East Gate Capital Management.

Mr Choi also brings a strong government connection, having served as the president of the Korea Game Industry Agency (“KOGIA”), governing and promoting the digital media industry in Korea. It was the vice minister level position under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) in Korea.

Mr Choi is a CFA, and earned Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Stanford University and a B.S. in Engineering from Seoul National University. He currently serves as a board member of Blackstone Private Equity Korea, and a few tech companies in the US and Asia including Intematix and Time Voyager.

Jeju Air is the biggest and fastest growing LCC in South Korea. Jeju Air is a subsidiary of Aekyung Group in Korea, and currently operates 3 domestic and 14 international routes in Japan, China, and other Southeast countries. Jeju Air aims to become a major airline in the North Asian market as the new CEO on board.

Andrew Cowan has spent 23 years in the aviation industry initially with British Airways before focusing on the emerging low cost and business aviation airline sectors. Today, as Deputy Chief Executive, Andrew is leading the transformation of Hong Kong Express into a low cost carrier. Andrew typically works very closely with airline shareholders/senior management ‘on the ground’ and for extended periods of time, usually in top-level management positions.

Andrew is currently leading the transformation of Hong Kong Express, into a low cost airline. HK Express, an existing airline previously operating B737-800s has completed its transition to A320s, with the fleet expanding to 5 aircraft by Oct 2013. Preparations are underway for the Commercial relaunch of the airline.

    Chris Eite, as SITA’s VP for Business Management is responsible for SITA’s Passenger Management business in Asia Pacific.

    Chris brings over 35 years of technology experience to SITA where he has worked for the last six years with one year in his present role. During the past 20 years he has lived in Singapore working for SITA and previously with the IBM and Unisys Transportation Practices across a wide range of roles including sales, consulting, program management and systems architecture. Recent focus has been on distribution trends including e-commerce.

    He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Imperial College London and is an Associate of the City and Guilds of London Institute.

     
    Mr Chul Ho Hahm

    Chul Ho Hahm began his career in the airline industry in 1976 as a public relations officer at Korean Air, and continued with the company for 33 years until retiring in 2009. In the early 1980s, he was transferred to the sales and marketing department where he played an important role as the marketing and pricing manager in the wake of the U.S. Government’s deregulation of the commercial aviation industry. Mr Hahm was responsible for designing and applying competitive strategies against aggressive U.S. carriers such as Braniff and Northwest Airlines. After a great deal of success in this role, in 1984, he was promoted to the sales and administration manager for the eastern region of the U.S. where he served for five years.

    In 2000, Korean Air was a founding partner of SkyTeam Alliance with Delta, Air France and AeroMexico. Mr Hahm led the formation of the Alliance and was the Project Manager representing Korean Air. As Project Manager for the SkyTeam Alliance, he demonstrated strong strategic capabilities and project execution expertise both of which ensured the success of the Alliance.

    Ian has spent the majority of his working life at British Airways where he joined as an apprentice and held a number of commercial roles in the UK and overseas before moving to Hong Kong to take up the role of Area Sales Manager Far East. Ian then moved to Singapore to lead the integration of the British Airways and Qantas Sales and Marketing teams in South East Asia. Following the successful completion of this task he then returned to the UK where he held numerous positions including Head of Corporate Sales and Head of Consumer and Agency Sales. After leaving BA in 2006, Ian carried out some consultancy work before joining Qatar Airways as SVP Global Sales and Distribution in 2007.

    Late 2009 Ian returned back to the UK to run various consultancy projects until 2011 when Ian joined Travelport as Head of Global Supplier Strategy. In this role his key focus is to ensure that Travelport offers a consistent global approach to airlines worldwide that enables them to maximise their yields and increase revenue streams through the GDS channel. To further strengthen airline relationships and help enhance long term, mutually beneficial partnerships that enable airline customers to distribute their flights and merchandising content in a way that works for their key businesses and other key industry stakeholders. This has led to the launch of the Travelport Merchandising Platform with ‘Aggregated Shopping’ ‘Ancillary Services’ and ‘Rich Content’ which enables airlines to adapt their business models to whatever competitive/ economic environment they operate in and for travel agents to access enhanced airline content in their normal workflow.

    Damian Hickey joined Travelport in November 2012 as the Vice President of Distribution Sales and Services for the Asia-Pacific region. Based in Singapore, Damian has overall responsibility for travel content provider relationships in the region such as airlines and rail companies, which use Travelport’s capabilities to distribute their products and services.

     

    With over 20 years of management experience, Damian possesses in-depth knowledge of the travel and transport industries in America, Europe and Asia, and is a well-respected thought leader and a recognised contributor to the industry’s future direction. Prior to joining Travelport, Damian held the position of Regional Vice President – South Asia & India for SITA where he was accountable for SITA’s airlines, airport, government and air transport industry customers. Amongst his many achievements during this time, Damian successfully grew annual revenues and secured SITA’s largest ever Passenger Services Systems (PSS) deal.     As Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, Corporate Planning Group, Mr. Kwang-Soo Lee is currently responsible for building annual and long-term strategy, budgeting, assessing corporate performance and government relations.     John W. Mims, 53, is the Senior Vice President World-Wide Sales & Resort Marketing Asia for Las Vegas Sands Corporation. Previously he was the Managing Partner of The Hunting Ridge Group, LLC, which he founded and he served as Chief Marketing and Sales Officer for Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Worldwide from June 2008 to January 2010. 
    Mr Mims has held numerous senior organizational roles including, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. from November 2003 to October 2006, and their Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Asia Pacific from May 2001 to November 2003. He also worked in the headquarters of Pepsi-Cola International as Director International Modern Trade and was with Pepsi for 10 years. 
    Mr Mims has served on the board of Brinker International which owns the Chili’s and Maggiano’s Brands, since February 2007 and is a member of the Compensation and Governance and Nominating Committees of the Company.     Patrick Murphy is Chairman of the Aviation Group at Performance Consultants International, a major provider of advisory, coaching and mentoring services to many industries around the world.

    He has over thirty-five years experience in the airline industry. Patrick’s early career was with Aer Lingus where he was responsible for marketing, sales and strategic developments.

    He left Aer Lingus in 1987 to become one of the founder members of a group which acquired the two state owned Ferry operators which became very successful and had an IPO in 1989. He also became non-executive Director of a number of Irish companies involved in information technology related to transport.

    In 1992 he was appointed Chairman of Ryanair and oversaw its transformation from a traditional full-service regional airline into the low-cost airline that it is today.

    For the past 15 years he has been a consultant and advisor to a number of airlines including LAN Chile, Gulf Air and All Nippon Airways as well as working for IATA.

    He runs workshops and training sessions on management of low cost airlines and is a regular lecturer and speaker at many aviation events.

    In November 2011 Patrick was appointed External Board Member at Peach Aviation Limited, Japan's first dedicated low cost carrier based in Kansai, Osaka. He continues to be Executive Advisor at Peach.

    Mr Muto is a natural-born-airline man who serves as Chief Operating Officer of Intermodal Inc. provides consultation in aviation business. Mr Muto started his career with All Nippon Airways (ANA) in 1976 and served the company for over 20 years. During the office term there, his major roles were in key strategic planning and resource management including corporate planning in ANA’s successful debut in the international market, purchasing aircraft & engines in the company’s major fleet introduction of B777. 
     In 2002, Mr. Muto then started building a high line sought-after new concept airline Star Flyer, as a co-founder, and successfully implemented the inaugural service out of Haneda (Tokyo) to Kita-Kyushu (Fukuoka). In the years leading up to July 2009 of his resignation from the board, he has been taking major critical management roles including fund raising of USD 70M, government-related negotiation in landing slot allocation and business rights, marketing & sales and remarkable branding that made the company a most impressive stylish design airline and stable market presence & profitability. In 2010, Mr. Muto joined Etihad Airways Japan taking in charge of airline alliances, government affairs leading critical traffic rights (5th freedom), airport slots and sales actions from partners until he started his own consultation in 2013 with Mr. Chi Yan, his long-time partner & specialist in leasing aircraft with tight & close human networks with key Asian government/airline officials. 
    Mr. Muto is graduated from Hitotsubashi University with B.A. in Social Economics & Science, and received MPA (Master of Public Administrations) from Harvard University, J.F. Kennedy School of Government. He is based in the Greater Tokyo area with his wife.
     
    Mr Anup Mysoor

    Anup Mysoor is a Managing Director in Citi’s Investment Banking division with responsibility for the Aviation sector in Asia Pacific. Prior to his current appointment, he was the Asia Head of the Industrials, Real Estate, Consumer and Healthcare group in Citi’s corporate bank. Anup moved to Hong Kong in 2002 from London where he responsible for aviation industry coverage for key clients based in Europe and the Middle East. Prior to joining aviation in 2000, he was co-head of the German team at Citi’s Asset Finance Group in London. He started his career in 1990 as an M&A analyst. Anup is an Associate of the CFA Society of the UK (ASIP), earned a BCom from the University of Mysore (India), an MSc in Investment Analysis from the University of Stirling (Scotland) and an MBA from Manchester Business School (England), where he also used to be a Visiting Fellow. Since the Global Financial Crisis, Anup has been involved in over 40 strategic deals with a total value in excess of US$15Bn.

    In July 2007, Azran was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia X, the world’s first truly low-cost long-haul airline. He led the start-up team that developed the business plan, raised capital, secured relevant licenses and approvals, acquired aircraft and launched AirAsia X’s first inaugural flight to the Gold Coast, Australia in November 2007.

    Despite a tumultuous 2008 and 2009 in global aviation, AirAsia X has expanded from one aircraft to eleven, tripling revenue and passenger volume to RM750 million and over 1 million passengers in 2009, and breaking the RM1 billion revenue mark in 2010, in its third full year of operations. AirAsia X now flies to twelve destinations across the Asia Pacific region – breaking many long-haul airline conventions and pioneering various innovative services, including the world’s first LCC flabed premium seats. Even with its nascent aircraft fleet, AirAsia X operates with the world’s lowest airline unit cost and the world’s highest aircraft utilization, while maintaining industry leading engineering reliability and on-time performance.     Based on its pioneering business model, AirAsia X has received tremendous international publicity, and has been recognized as the 2008 Best New Airline and jointly awarded the 2009 Airline of the Year award with AirAsia Berhad. It is also featured as the only Asian case study in ‘BOLD: How to be Brave in Business and Win’ by Shaun Smith.

    Prior to his appointment, Azran was formerly the Senior Director of Business Development for Astro All Asia Networks plc, a leading Asian digital satellite television and radio broadcaster, where he led the start-up and operational launch of Astro’s international investments and joint ventures across Southeast Asia, India and Greater China – having oversight management responsibility for a portfolio of over US$300 million invested in these businesses.

    Azran was formerly an Associate Partner of McKinsey & Company, an international management consultancy, where he co-led its Southeast Asia Corporate Finance & Strategy practice. He holds a Masters degree in Management Science and a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, both from Stanford University. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia.

    Azran was recently nominated to the Board of Directors of Tourism Malaysia by the Minister of Tourism. A prolific international speaker, he has been invited as one of the Young Leaders at the 2010 World Islamic Economic Forum and represented Malaysia as one of Asia Society’s 2009 Asia 21 Delegates. He is also a member of the Young Presidents Organisation (YPO).

    He is 40 years young, a competitive Ultimate Frisbee player, a keen surfer and snowboarder, and has completed ten full marathons in the last 2 years.

    Dr Tae Oum is the UPS Foundation Chair Professor at Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia, and the President of the Air Transport Research Society (ATRS). He serves on Editorial Boards of twelve international journals on transport/logistics and economics field. His research and teaching interests are in the areas of economics, management and policy analysis in transport/logistics sectors.

    He has authored/co-authored 35 books, over 110 refereed journal papers, and numerous reports for international organizations including World Bank, OECD, International Transport Forum, APEC, and for various government agencies, regulatory commissions and major corporations (Canada, United States, UK, Netherlands, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore). He has delivered over 300 keynote addresses, invited speeches/seminars, and presentations.

    The honors and distinctions include the Distinguished Career Research Achievement Award from the (US) Transportation Research Forum (TRF, 2006); The Overall Best Paper Prize from the US TRF (2009 Annual Conference); The Overall Best Paper Prize from The World Conference on Transport Research Society (1998); Killam Research Prize of Canada-Senior Science Category (2002); Killam Research Fellowship (1988);. He has been a Distinguished Fellow of the Transportation and Public Utilities Group of AEA (TPUG) since 2004. He was decorated with a Medal of National Order of Merit by the President of the Republic of Korea (South) in 2005.

    Hyuk Park is the head of planning at Jeju Air, based in Seoul, Korea, where he oversees the company's network planning, strategy, partnership, and ancillary revenues. Hyuk has a wealth of consulting experience within the aviation industry, working for airlines, airports, government agencies and financial institutions around the world.

    Before returning to Seoul and Jeju Air, Hyuk spent over a decade in San Francisco working first as an analyst for Roberts, Roach & Associates, a boutique consulting firm specializing in aviation, and then as a consultant for Unisys' Transportion Management Consulting practice. He has also held positions with American Airlines in Dallas, Texas, and with the Philadelphia International Airport. Hyuk holds a B.S. degree in Aviation Business Administration from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida.

    Park Soo Jeon graduated from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in 1979. He started his aviation career with Korean Air in 1978, holding the post of branch manager in Australia and New Zealand. He left Korean Air in 2007 to become Overseas General Manger of HanJin Travel. During his time there, Mr Park was also Adjunct Professor at the Graduate School of International Tourism at Hanyang University. In 2010, Mr Park joined Eastar Jet as Business General Manager, before becoming CEO in 2011.

Between 1997 and 2004 he served as General Manager International Affairs at Cathay Pacific. In 2004 he founded Viva Macau Airlines as a low cost, long haul operation and served as its first CEO. In 2007 he moved to Russia to set up Avianova, Russia's first LCC. He is currently based in Moscow.

Prior to Octave Group, he was Vice President and GM of TE Connectivity’s Global PC Business. Previously, he was the Executive Officer responsible for APJ Large Enterprise Marketing at Dell, which is corporate marketing for all APJ lines of business (PCs, servers, storage, software, services and solution) that delivered $4 billion of revenue. He was also Executive Officer responsible for North Asia Sales Operations and Marketing where he led marketing and sales for all lines of business that delivered $2.4 billion of revenue. Prior to Dell, he was an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company in Seoul, Korea. He began his career at the International Monetary Fund as a Research Officer advising former Soviet Union countries on monetary policy. James received his M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his B.S. in Economics from the University of Minnesota.

    Mr. Saito joined Air Do, an international airline corporation in Hokkaido, Japan, in June 2010 and has been responsible for commercial airline business as CEO. Prior to direct business responsibility of Air Do, Mr. Saito was involved in business management of All Nippon Airways, ANA, since July 2008. Mr. Saito joined Japan Ministry of Transport (currently Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) in April 1975 and developed his deep knowledge and experience of government authorities in the transport and tourism practices. He experienced to serve himself for the Fair Trade Commission, Police Headquarter in Hokkaido, Japan Rail Construction Public Corporation, Japan Coast Guard, and the Land and Transport Research Division for the House of Representatives of Japan. Mr. Saito received a BA of Economics from Tokyo University in March 1975.

    Patee Sarasin is the Chief Executive Officer of Nok Air, the truly Thai low fare airline.

    Patee received his secondary education in England at Kings School, Canterbury, and then spent his college years in the U.S.A., receiving a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from Clark University, in Massachusetts, and a Masters Degree in Mass Communication Film and Video from American University in Washington, D.C.

    Patee launched his career with advertising agency Lintas in 1983, as a Research Manager, and then took a 2 year break to complete his masters degree, followed by 2 years with NBC, the U.S. television network, on both the creative and production side.

    Returning to Thailand in 1989, he joined SPA Advertising as Creative Liaison officer and a member of the Management Committee, and in 1991 became General Manager of Multi Media Orbit, a production house of SPA.

    In 1992 Patee was appointed Managing Director and later CEO of Bates Advertising Thailand, a joint venture between SPA and Bates Worldwide. Under Patee’s management, Bates Thailand became the fastest growing advertising agency in Thailand, and included the famed creation of DTAC and its launch into the market.

    In early 2004 Patee left Bates to join the new airline that was to become Nok Air as Chief Executive Officer, and has been a driving force behind the success of the airline, utilizing his marketing background and experiences and effectively applying them to Nok Air. Under Patee’s leadership Nok Air has seen continuous growth in terms of revenue, passenger numbers and destinations, as it reaches from its base in Thailand across Asia. Today Nok Air has already recovered the initial investment just after only two years of operation, and she continuously is growing towards a strong, profitable and a healthy company.

    As his aviation career takes off, he continues to be invited to speak at various international aviation symposiums around the world including those in Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Sydney, New York and Houston.

    Patee is currently an advisor to Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand. He is also an active player and a consultant to the Thailand Squash Team.

He took the company public in 2008 at JASDAQ market in Japan. Company’s web properties combined generate over 16 million monthly visitors bringing over US$27 million of annual advertising revenue.

    A seasoned executive with his extensive knowledge of e-commerce, online travel and his strong entrepreneurship, Kei is responsible for driving the company by shaping its strategy, making commercialization efforts and building organization.

    Previously, Kei worked at Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan’s leading trading & investment firm, for 11 years. During his time with the company, among other roles, he played the key role in company’s largest M&A deal in its history to acquire the Lawson Inc., one of the largest convenience store chains in Japan and led the company’s joint e-commerce businesses with Lawson to pursue its post acquisition strategy.

    Kei received a BA of Laws from Keio University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He serves as President of Venture Mitakai, an official Keio University’s alumni association for CEOs of venture businesses and also as one of the Executive Committee Members of HBS Club of Japan (Harvard Business School’s alumni association in Japan). He is also a member of Japan Association of Corporate Executives “Keizai Doyukai.”

     
    Mr Yashuhero Shinohara

    Mr Shinohara, 53, was appointed as the Vice Commissioner for International Affairs of the Japan Tourism Agency (JTA) in July 2013. He is well versed not only in international tourism, but also in aviation administration. Before becoming the Vice Commissioner for International Affairs of JTA, Mr Shinohara served as the Director-General of the Aviation Network Department of the Civil Aviation Bureau and the Director of the Aviation Industries Division at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

    As the Director of the Aviation Industries Division, Mr Shinohara addressed the easing of aviation regulations based on the open skies policy and the rehabilitation of Japan Airlines (JAL). In addition to his efforts to strengthen the international competitiveness of the Japanese aviation industry, Mr. Shinohara worked to develop an environment for the entry of LCCs into the Japanese market and contributed significantly to expanding international tourism exchange.

    Mr Shinohara earned a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Tokyo in 1983. Upon graduating, he joined the Ministry of Transport of Japan. Mr. Shinohara assumed posts at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and other organizations, giving him a wealth of international experience.

    JTA is an external agency of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of the Japanese Government. Its mission is to strengthen the systems for the promotion of Japan as a Tourism Nation.     Miyuki Suzuki is a Japanese national with 30 years’ experience across the Asia Pacific region and beyond. She was appointed to the role of Jetstar Japan CEO on 1st December 2011. Ms Suzuki joined Jetstar Japan after five years at the Japanese telecommunications and IT services company KVH Co Ltd, a Fidelity Investments company, where she was President and CEO before becoming Vice Chairman and Representative Director of the company. Prior to this, Ms Suzuki served as the CEO of Lexis Nexis for Asia Pacific, as Executive Vice President of the Consumer Business at Japan Telecom (now Softbank Telecom) and Managing Director for Reuters South East Asia.

    Focusing mainly on the Asia Pacific region, Ms Suzuki has worked in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, North America, United Kingdom, New Zealand and the Middle East. Ms Suzuki brings a detailed understanding of the Japanese and global business environments, as well as a wealth of experience delivering strong results in challenging markets. Having started her career in sales and marketing roles in media and IT companies, before taking on organizational leadership roles, her success has been grounded in a strong customer-focus as well as achievement of efficiencies through innovation, both within established businesses and start-ups.

    Fluent in Japanese and English, Ms Suzuki has picked up some Italian, French, Russian and Arabic along the way. She has an Honours Degree in History from Oxford University and a certificate in financial markets from the Securities Institute of Australia.

    Maunu von Lueders comes from Finland but has worked abroad for more than 40 years. Maunu is a veteran airline executive. His career has included assignments in many countries including Sweden, Austria, Hungary, Denmark, Iceland, the United States, Canada and India. In his present role as the Regional Vice President for IATA he carries out the IATA mission to serve, lead and represent the airline industry in the Asia Pacific Region.

    Maunu has held executive level positions ranging from Sales & Marketing, General Management, Commercial Partnerships, International Relations and Global Airline Alliances. He has also been involved in developing new airline models as the CEO for two international low cost airlines. Maunu has also participated in developments taking place within the commercial space industries both in Sweden and in the USA.

    Maunu has an MBA from Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburg, Scotland. Maunu has been mentoring students and the new generation of leaders within the airline and travel industries.

    Mr Masami Watanabe

    Masami Watanabe, 56, the Senior Director for Airport Promotion Division of the Ibaraki Prefectural Government has been putting his energy into attracting airlines and promoting Ibaraki Airport.

    Watanabe graduated from the University of Ibaraki in 1980. After graduating, he joined the Ibaraki Prefectural Government. Before his present post, Watanabe was consecutively Tokai Village Vice Mayor, Policy Administrator, and in April 1, 2011 he was appointed as the Senior Director of the Airport Promotion Division. Since becoming Senior Director, he has been putting emphasis on route expansion. Watanabe also worked on raising the awareness of Ibaraki Airport. Due to his efforts, both domestic and international routes have increased and the number of passengers in 2012 increased by 40% compared to the year before.

    The Ibaraki Prefectural Government is working hard on increasing the convenience of Ibaraki Airport. Making it possible for more people to use the airport will lead to the contribution of the growth of Ibaraki Prefecture.

    With over 20 years in travel, the last 13 of which have had an online travel and distribution focus in the Asia Pacific and Middle East Regions, Dean joined Wego in 2011 as General Manager of Australia and New Zealand. His role expanded soon after when he was appointed as Chief Marketing Officer and VP of Airline Relations and relocated from Sydney to Wego's headquarters in Singapore.

    As Chief Marketing Officer, Dean managed marketing and business development across Wego's growing markets in SEA, India and the Middle East, focussing on SEO and cross channel promotions, PR, digital advertising, B2B and B2C solutions, brand performance, contract negotiations, supplier relations and distribution agreements.

    His long history, understanding and great relationships with the aviation industry was effective in building Wego's solid global airline partnerships and expanding the company's rapidly growing airline inventory. In acknowledgement he was appointed to the role of Chief Flights Officer in mid 2013 and continues to build new partnerships, develop the strategy for new flight products and markets for the company and widen their considerable market reach.

Immediately prior to joining Scoot in May 2011, he was Singapore Airlines’ General Manager Japan, based in Tokyo, before which he was SIA’s General Manager Hong Kong and Vice President Canada. He also spent three years in SIA’s Head Office Network Planning and Network Revenue Management departments. Campbell was born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand and is a Singapore Permanent Resident.     Yeoh Siew Hoon founded Web In Travel in 2005. She saw a need for the industry to recognize and deal with the changes that would come from the Internet and technology. It started out as an annual conference (now held in partnership with ITB Asia) and has grown into a content and community portal for anyone passionate about the online travel space in Asia Pacific.

    Other than online travel, Siew Hoon is passionate about inspiring young minds – which WIT does through its WITNext vehicle – and entrepreneurship and innovation through its WIT Bootcamp.

    Siew Hoon is also a regular speaker and facilitator at travel industry conferences and workshops. She is also a published author, having written titles including “Truth, Lies & Other Stuff”, “Around Asia in 1 Hr: Tales of Condoms, Chillies & Curries” and “Losing My Innocence, Finding My Groove”.

    In 2009, she co-wrote a children’s book “The Adventures of Habibi, The Wise Turtle”, with 17-year-old Nigel Chee for Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, Oman, to promote environmental awareness and conservation of green turtles in the Oman area. In August 2012, her second children’s book, “The Story Of Baitong & Boon”, which she c0-wrote with 16-year-old Phantila Phataraprasit, was published.
