Course Description

This course is designed to meet the requirements for the Christian Educator Certification in the PC(USA). This is an online course, with both synchronous and asynchronous assignments. Asynchronous work begins January 6, 2022. Assignments and course documents will be posted on Blackboard. Each registered participant will receive login credentials to Blackboard, the seminary's learning management system.

This thirty-hour, online course is designed to address the calling of Christian educators to interpret and teach the Bible. It features a historical overview and practical examples of an array of approaches to biblical interpretation, including and emphasizing key elements of interpretation from the perspective of the Reformed Tradition. 

The course date range is January 6-March 1, 2022. The synchronous class meetings will be via Zoom on two Tuesdays from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Standard Registration (begins December 16, 2021): $320

*These mandatory, synchronous (live) class meetings will take place via Zoom technology. Each registered participant will receive the class meeting link prior to the beginning of the course. The same link will be used for each session. All meeting times are Eastern Standard Time.
