Dr. Silva is an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Clinical Education at Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts. He received his Doctorate in Education from Plymouth State University in May 2020 and is licensed as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Massachusetts since 2014. He currently sits on the Athletic Advisory Committee for Salem State University. He is an Advisory Board Member for the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Northshore Community College; the Athletic Training Residency at New Hampshire Musculoskeletal Institute; and the Occupational Therapy Program at Salem State University. As a graduate student he received two research grants from Ohio University and the Ohio Athletic Trainers' Association. His research included his Master's thesis- MAPS ACL, and his Master's project- MAPS Ankle. These presentations earned him both 1st and 2nd place awards at the Ohio University Graduate Research Expo in 2013. One of Dr. Silva's areas of expertise is in Emotional Intelligence.
