If you cannot make the all-day APEX/ASTM class, don’t worry there is more!
Beginning at 5:00pm at the Westin St. Francis in the St. Francis Suite, GMIC NCC we will have a Networking Reception and then after the reception we will settle in to hear from some special speakers from New York.
Currating Green Events: A Case Study on the ISES NY Metro Chapter Green Events Summit
Jill T. Drury and Johanna Walsh will present an interesting case study on the 2012 NYC ISES Sustainability Summit which they produced in New York City and have developed specific steps to educate stakeholders from across the event spectrum in how to integrate sustainable practices into their daily production. They will share their learning’s from this event in this case study and explain how the summit had to be transparent about its production process and to serve as an opportunity to promote and teach compliance with the newly released APEX/ASTM Standards.
The ISES NYC Sustainability Summit planning committee partnered with the Rubin Museum as the event venue host. The Rubin agreed to work through the APEX/ASTM Level 1 Standards as the venue supplier, while being supported by the committee to get them to Level 1. Through this commitment by all parties, they will share their learning’s and show the collected data that will serve as the basis of the workshop.
