Continuing Education

 

The 2019 Leadership and Physician Advisor Conference will offer continuing education (CE/CME credits) and learning with case management leaders and physician advisors. 

Conference Objectives: 

After attending this conference, you will be able to:

  1. Examine strategies and expectations of engaging physicians, case management and interdisciplinary team members to effect health care change
  2. Identify and apply care coordination strategies to create a patient centered culture and implement sustainable longitudinal care.
  3. Apply case management tools, resources and approaches to promote patient engagement and self-management
  4. Manage complex relationships between healthcare stakeholders, patients, families and providers
  5. Apply clinical judgment and documentation review to validate medical necessity, appropriateness of level of care and resource utilization

Earn Up To The Following CE Hours

We anticipate that you may earn up to the following continuing education (CE/CME hours) for the Pre-Conference and Main Conference. 

  • 19.2  |  Nursing Contact Hours (based on 50-minute hour)
  • 16.0  |  Nursing Contact Hours (based on 60-minute hour)
  • 16.0  |  Social Work Contact Hours (based on 60-minute hour)
    Please Note:  NJ Social Workers This session is not applicable for CEs
  • 16.0  |  ACM Certification Credits
  • 16.0  |  AMA PRA Category 1 Credits

Social Work Continuing Education

ACMA is an approved continuing education provider through the following boards with the exception of the pending submissions.

  • Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners (Sponsor #4171)
  • National Association of Social Worker (Approval # 886621095-1208)
  • NJ Social Worker - All conference sessions, courses #2633-2645, are approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to be offered by American Case Management Association as individual conference sessions. Individual courses, not providers, are approved at the course level. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. ACE approval period: 10/21/2019 to 10/21/2021. Social workers completing this conference receive {SOCIAL WORKERS TOTAL, UP TO 11) general continuing education credits.
  • CE certificate will be emailed within 10 days to social workers who sign in and out of each session attended and complete session evaluations—including an overall conference evaluation. The evaluation forms will be distributed upon check-in of each session and should be turned in to staff members by end of day on November 17, 2019. Individuals are also responsible for verifying that the approving organizations listed above are accepted by their professional organizations and/or licensing authorities. Unless otherwise noted on the CE certificate, individuals are responsible for submitting their earned continuing education credits/certificates to the appropriate professional organizations and/or licensing authorities to maintain their individual certification(s), recertification(s), licensure(s), etc.
 
As required by the approval agencies listed above, ACMA maintains records and CE certificates for all educational activities for a minimum of seven years after the educational activity concludes.
