Overview

As the leading sector trade association with in excess of 850 members we represent the voice of the sector. Our membership base includes independent training providers, General FE Colleges, HEIs, Schools, Employer-Providers, Awarding Organisations and all the majority of End Point Assessment Organisations.

Over the last 18 months the number of GFEC AELP members has grown significantly and we recognise the need to cater and support this segment of our membership with some of the different challenges they face. As part of our commitment, this Summit will include:

  • Updates from DfE/IfA in regards policy development specifically of interest for GFECs, including T-Levels, Study Programme and 16-19 provision
  • Updates on the latest AEB devolution position
  • Updates and discussion on current apprenticeship funding, the wider reforms and what lies ahead in regards contracting, funding and rules
  • Challenges facing the GFEC sector in regards to quality of provision and inspection
  • Examples of effective collaboration between GFECs and ITPs
  • An opportunity to feed in your key challenges and concerns to help define AELP policy position in regards lobbying priorities.

The event will also help facilitate the opportunity to network with other general further education colleges and will conclude with an informal drinks reception.
