Each full-day session is eligible for 0.80 CEUs or 8 PDHs.
Economical training classes are a great way for current users to extend their PSS®CAPE skills and for new users to get the “big picture” quickly. You can sign up
in half-day segments. You’ll need to bring your own laptop and if you like, your own database.
Choose your topics when you register. Each topic is a half-day class except "PSS®CAPE for New Users" which is a full day. We create a custom class schedule based on your selected class preferences and provide final training schedules at on-site registration check-in. You will be contacted prior to the UGM if we have any difficulties accommodating your requests. Training class topics:
- PSS®CAPE for New Users (1 full day - covers Database Editor, Short Circuit, One-Line Diagram, and Coordination Graphics)
- NERC PRC compliance reporting using PSS®CAPE - practical application of the NERC PRC standard macros available in PSS®CAPE
- Modeling detailed bus structures and open-ended lines with One-Line Diagram
- Using Coordination Graphics and its special displays
- System Simulator and Relay Checking including pilot protection
- Introduction to writing macros
- Introduction to ready-to-use Relay Setting algorithms
- Modeling transformers, neutral buses,
neutral networks - Breaker duty analysis
- Data compare, merge, and management techniques
- Modeling transmission lines with Line Constants
- Introduction to SQL and associated reporting
