Frequently Asked Questions


When does the Early Bird Rate begin and end?

The early bird rate will begin when registration opens in May and will be available through the end of July. When this rate ends, the general admission price will take over. Unfortunately we cannot allow any exceptions once this rate expires.

How do I receive the group discount pricing?

There are two levels of group discount pricing. 3+ will each receive $300 off and 10+ attendees will each receive $600 off the standard registration price. When you register online the system will automatically apply the small group discount rate when you enter in 3 or more registrants passes on one order. All registrations will need to be paid on one credit card in order to receive the group discount. Large groups of 10+ should contact susan.karsyan@jdpa.com for registration instructions in order to receive large group pricing.

What if I need to cancel someone in my group registration?

Please advise J.D. Power and we can process the cancellation if you are within our cancellation policy. We will refund the amount of the pass less the amount the registrants on that order would have paid without the group discount.

I cannot pay for my registration with a credit card, can I be invoiced?

In order to be invoiced for your registrations, our accounting team requires a minimum charge of $5,000 on your order. All smaller purchases will need to be made via credit card. Do not register on the website, please contact J.D. Power and we will issue you an invoice and get you registered.

What is your registration cancellation policy?

If you have to cancel your registration, please advise J.D. Power in writing. There is a $150 handling fee for cancellations received on or before October 3, 2017. We regret we cannot process any refunds for cancellations after this date. Registered participants who fail to attend the Automotive Marketing Roundtable will be liable for the full fee.

If I am unable to make the AMR, can someone go in my place?

Yes, of course. Registrations may be transferred to another attendee at no additional charge. We ask that you notify J.D. Power so that we can amend appropriate records. Please include name of current registrant and name, title, company and email address of the person who will be taking their place. We will not be able to make any registration changes after October 16, 2017 (1 week before event).

Are there dealer, student, government, or military discounts?

We do not have these types of discount available. Hotel

How do I receive the J.D. Power group rate at the Bellagio?

The J.D. Power group rate is $229 per night for a standard room plus tax and fees. You can reserve your room online here or call the hotel directly at 1-888-987-6667. Callers must identify their affiliation with JDPA Automotive Marketing Roundtable to receive the group rate.

When is the last day I can reserve a room at the J.D. Power group rate?

Last day to reserve your room at the group rate is Monday, October 2nd. But this does not mean that we won’t sell out before this date so be sure to reserve early!

Speaking Inquiries

I would like to speak at the AMR, how can I go about doing this?

Our Request for Proposals is now closed. We will open our 2018 call for speakers in May next year. Please click here to be added to our distribution list.

How do you choose the topics listed in the RFP?

Earlier this year, we had an AMR Roundtable Advisory Board Workshop where our Advisory Board Members came together with our agenda planning committee to brainstorm topics and ideas for this year’s agenda. You can become a part of this process too! Look on our sponsorship brochure under Advisory Board Sponsorships for more information.

How do you choose which proposals are selected for the agenda?

The AMR planning committee will review the proposals we received (over 160 this year!) and grade them on a scale of 1-10. There is a list of criteria we are looking for including innovative ideas, compelling speakers and unique solutions to industry-wide problems.

When will we know if our submission was chosen?

We will be evaluating proposals during the month of May and we plan to provide a final disposition to you by June 19th. Submitters will be notified via email whether or not their proposal was selected.

Event Information

Who’s attending?

A LOT of people (1,200+ thus far)! You can get a list of AMR attendees at the registration desk when you check in. The list will also be available on October 24 via the event app.

When does the Roundtable begin?

Registration will open at 9:00am on October 24th. Our opening sessions will begin at 10:30am and our AMR Bash will begin at 5:00pm.

Do I need to check in when I arrive?

You do have to check in to receive your name badge, registration bag and emPower Collection magazine. We will be checking name badges at the door. Check-in and registration will take place outside of Tower Ballroom. Please have your confirmation on hand just in case. We will ask you for your confirmation number should any complications arise.

Will food be available at the AMR?

Yes, there will be food—lots of it! Lunch will be provided Tuesday. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on Wednesday. Hors d'oeuvres will be available on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings during our networking receptions. Snacks and beverages will be served at the networking breaks throughout the conference.

What is the dress code?

Attire is casual. Nice Jeans are OK, you can leave your ties and heels at home.

Will you offer live streaming?

Yes, the AMR’s general session room will be streamed live. Please check back for updates closer to the event.

Power? WI-FI?

Located in Renaissance Foyer will be a charging bar to re-power your electronic devices, sponsored by Viant. WiFi will also be available both days in and around the meeting rooms, sponsored by GroundTruth.

To tweet, or not to tweet?

TWEET, please. Tweet, link, blog…all those things. The hashtag for this event is #JDPowerAMR and we encourage you all to tweet. In fact, you can tweet your session questions to #JDPowerAMR and we will pass them along to our presenters—this is a digital marketing event, after all. Do you have an event app?

A free event app will be available as we get closer to the event, sponsored by Costco Auto Program. It gives you direct access to the agenda, speaker bios, Twitter feed, surveys, and also allows you to connect with other attendees. We will announce this via email notification when the app is available.

I need meeting space or a place to relax. Where can I go?

Visit our RevUp Lounge in the Renaissance Foyer, designed to give all attendees a place to get some work done, hold meetings and relax.

Do you provide transportation at the event?

We are excited to offer complimentary limousine service throughout the event (sponsored by AutoHook Powered by Urban Science). Rides will be on a first come, first serve basis and no reservations can be made in advance. More information to come.

Will there be a party at the Surrender Cabanas this year?

Yes, we will have cabanas available for purchase again for Surrender party Wednesday, October 25. This is the perfect opportunity to network with your clients in a casual atmosphere. You can purchase an entire cabana or share with up to 4 companies. To reserve your cabana contact Ashley at Ashley.Hession@jdpa.com. Individual tickets will also be available for purchase through the registration page.

Will you watch my stuff?

No, but if you’re checking out on Thursday and need a place to hold your luggage, Bellagio Hotel does offer a luggage hold service. We encourage everyone to stay Wednesday night and leave on Thursday because a number of sponsored events will occur Wednesday evening following the conclusion of the Roundtable.

How can I give my feedback?

We will have an instant survey available in our mobile app, so be sure to download it before you arrive. You will be able to submit surveys for every session. A survey will be emailed to you after the event as well.

Will we have access to presentations after the event?

Yes, the presentations and videos will be available on our media site after the event. We will email you login credentials once you complete our attendee survey so that you can access these at your convenience.
