September 21, 2012 9:30 am - 10:45 am
Room: Delaware B
The asset-building field is continually developing innovative interventions to improve financial capability. This session features papers that discuss promising strategies for developing financial skills among lower- and middle-income populations. One paper presents research around games designed to improve players’ financial knowledge and skills. The second paper summarizes research that involved behaviorally informed interventions to maximize bank account sign-up within a transitional employment program. The discussion will focus on how these innovative strategies and others might be taken to scale.
