2012 Assets Learning Conference

About the Conference

More so than any time in our recent past, the American economy is showing promising signs of revitalization. Meanwhile, millions of families from coast to coast find themselves working harder than ever to make ends meet. Whether these families – living on the edge just one misstep away from economic peril – survive and thrive depends on how well we take advantage of this critical juncture to create pathways toward financial stability. It will be these pathways that dominate the national conversation leading up to the November elections.

It will also be these pathways that act as the centerpiece of discussion at the 2012 Assets Learning Conference: Ideas into Action. Premised on the belief that with the right tools, all Americans can enter the financial mainstream, the 2012 ALC will convene over 1,200 assets practitioners, influential policymakers, innovative businesspeople and creative researchers working to make asset poverty a thing of the past. As the signature event of the Assets & Opportunity field, Ideas into Action will be the opportune moment for those committed to financial security to explore asset-building strategies that work.

The ALC will take place September 19-21, 2012 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC. To participate in this important conversation, visit the Registration page.
