IDAs have been a centerpiece of the asset-building movement for many years, and a growing body of research is shedding light on their strengths and weaknesses. In this session, participants will learn about recent research on the long-term impact of IDAs from the American Dream Demonstration and how behaviorally-informed program features can help encourage regular savings patterns. Details of the upcoming evaluation of the Assets for Independence (AFI) Program using a randomized design will also be announced.
