Capitol Hill Visit Training

This training will prepare ALC attendees who have signed up for Hill Visits to meet with their legislative offices on the final day of the ALC. We will offer overviews of three policy topics of common interest, a refundable tax credit for savings, asset limits in SNAP and AFI. We will also review what these meetings are like and answer questions to ensure that participants feel confident and ready to be effective advocates on Capitol Hill. Twenty minutes at the end will be reserved for small group breakouts by state so that advocates can meet each other and make a plan – delegation leaders will have facilitation questions from us.
