Asset Building and Disability Advocacy Partnerships

People with disabilities are one of the most underrepresented and financially vulnerable populations in the United States. In wake of the Recession, advocates, lawmakers and practitioners are working to find new strategies for helping people with disabilities improve their financial security. The national discussion, however, has been around focused primarily on employment and not savings and assets. This session will have leaders in the disability advocacy space explaining strategies for participants reaching out to disability groups. Participants will learn ways to align interests to better promote and encourage asset building for people with disabilities.
