Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the symposium, the participants should be able to:

  1. Analyze, evaluate and implement new AUA guidelines for optimal care.
  2. Apply the fundamental principles for radiation and fluoroscopy safety to minimize radiation doses.
  3. Order appropriate studies to access renal/prostate cancer to rule out metastatic renal and prostate cancer.
  4. Select the best stone prevention strategy based on individual patient characteristics (including pregnant patients) and implement.
  5. Plan for and utilize PCNL puncture sites that optimize stone free rates.
  6. Provide anticoagulation management for patients prior to stone surgery to improve pt. safety and outcomes.
  7. Utilize best practices to provide comprehensive, effective, and affirming health care services for transgender patients.
  8. Assimilate strategies to meet future changes in health care policy and deliver value based care to improve quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
  9. Translate conclusions from published registry studies into best practice habits to optimize quality of care.
