ASHM Hub EXHIBITION HALL | 14-18 November 2016
The Australasian Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Sexual Health Medicine (ASHM) is a peak professional society representing a multidisciplinary health workforce in HIV, viral hepatitis and sexual health. ASHM has a membership of over 1500 and close to 50 organisational members providing reach to a large majority of health care worker activity involved in the sector.
We manage accreditation programs to facilitate community prescribing of s100 and s85 medications and provide education and training to support health care workers who are testing and managing treatment for people living with HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C.
We also provide sexual health programs comprised of education, resources and guidelines. Sexual health education has focused mainly on GPs and primary health care nurses and expanding their role in caring for the sexual health of their community.
