The IAI Conference will be held at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
The room block at the Gaylord National Resort, the AC Hotel, the Residence Inn and the Westin has been filled. Scroll down to the “Hotel” Information below to view properties that might be able to provide accommodations
- The Conference kicks off on Sunday evening with the President’s Welcome Reception. All week the Conference is full of educational lectures and workshops. The Lectures are open to registered attendees, while Workshops are an additional fee and have limited enrollment. The lecture program is vast, allowing for a selection from an average of six lecture theaters running consecutively.
- Monday begins with the Opening Ceremony and after a day of Lectures and Workshops concludes with the Exhibit Opening and Reception that evening.
- Tuesday the Exhibit Hall will be open all day with a Reception and formal Poster Presentations as well as a Photography Contest that evening.
- Wednesday morning there will be a Breakfast followed by a General Session Sponsored by NEC for all attendees with a Keynote address and an opportunity to meet with your “Discipline Peers” at a fun Reception Sponsored by CSAFE in the evening.
- Friday morning starts off with the IAI Membership Meeting, and follows with a day of educational sessions. Then, we conclude our 107th Conference with the Installation Banquet Friday evening.
- The Chesapeake Bay Division will be hosting a Virtual 5K Run at the conference.

Location -
National Harbor, MD
The Conference Educational Sessions, Social Events and Exhibit will be at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, located at National Harbor, Prince George’s County, Maryland. With views of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and the Washington National Monument over the Potomac River. The hotel is situated along the shores of the Potomac, downriver from Washington, D.C., and across the river from Alexandria, Virginia.
National Harbor has everything from busy outlet mall shopping to a casino. The waterfront is home to a vibrant carousel and a unique sculpture plus a ferry terminal and a marina sporting a ferry terminal. It offers many bars and restaurants and makes an excellent venue for our conference
Parking
Self parking is available at the Gaylord National Resort to attendees for $27/day (Which includes a 25% discount). You will need to go to the IAI Registration desk to get your ticket validated for the discount.
Airport/Transportation
The closest airport to National Harbor, MD is “Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)” which is served by most major airlines. The airport is approximately 8 miles from the hotel.
Transportation from the airport to the hotel may be by taxi or by another transportation service (such as Uber or Lyft).
