CAI’s Washington Metro Chapter invites you to submit a presentation proposal for the 2026 Conference and Expo, taking place February 27–28, 2026. We welcome presentations on a wide range of topics from any professional or volunteer who supports Community Associations. If you have a topic you’re passionate about and are interested in presenting, we encourage you to share your proposal.

Important Deadlines

Proposals for Conference & Expo 2026 must be submitted by October 1, 2025


Presentations

When proposing a presentation, you are encouraged to team up with others, tell us about yourselves, outline the topic that you plan to cover, and commit to a 60- to 90-minute presentation. Audience interaction has always been a plus so please emphasize your plan to engage your session’s attendees.

Next, your proposal will be considered by the volunteers on the Chapter’s Education Committee who just like you are professionals and volunteers in the Community Association industry. Committee members want to hear your ideas. And, if your proposal is approved, they will schedule your presentation at the 2026 Conference and Expo.

  • Pet Problems & Policies to Address Them
  • Who is the Virginia Ombudsman & What Do They Do?
  • Workplace Safety & Security
  • The Impact of AI on the CIC Industry
  • Insurance Coverage Options for Older Buildings

There is an audience for any topic that you wish to speak about. Please share your knowledge with our industry and submit your proposal.


This year we have a new system for uploading your speaking proposals. Below are some brief instructions on how to use the system and click here for the detailed instructions.  

Creating a Profile

Note: You only must create a profile once.

  1. Click “Login” on the top banner.
  2. Select “New User? Click Here.”
  3. Fill out the “Profile” form with all required information. This information will be used to allow you to login and for us to send all communications related to your submission.
  4. Click “Save.”

Submitting a Proposal 

  1. Once you are logged in, click the “Submissions” button on the top banner. 
  2. Click “add new.”
  3. Complete the submission
