Conference activities will cover all topics related to African wild dogs: their conservation, ecology, physiology, behaviour, genetics, public attitudes, artwork, films, photography. We encourage submissions from people at all career stages, and hope to see a majority of submissions coming from within Africa.
Bursaries will be available to support participation by students in Africa.
Oral Presentations
One can present a 5-minute or 12-minute pre-recorded talk with a live question and answer session. Talks will be timetabled along with others on similar topics to create themed sessions.
Poster Sessions
Poster sessions are also available. Posters will be viewable throughout the conference, but there will be a timetabled session when poster presenters should be available to answer questions. Posters should be designed to fit an A4 page, with type no smaller than 12 pt.
Special Sessions
Special sessions can be either 90 minutes or 3 hours, and their content is flexible. You may want to hold an open or invite-only panel discussion to share experiences about the best new tracking technologies, host a short workshop aimed at collating data for a meta-analysis, or recruit participants for a collaborative grant proposal. Perhaps you would like to invite donors to be inspired by stunning wildlife photography, or showcase other artwork related to wild dogs? The choice is yours!
