Information and rules concerning abstract submission

Guidelines for abstract preparation:
Abstracts are being sought for NUGA 2024. The meeting is dedicated to the latest advances in research and clinical practice in the field of urogynecology and female urology in the Nordic countries. We invite researchers from Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Iceland to submit abstracts covering basic or clinical science in the field of urogynecology and female urology for NUGA 2024. Abstracts must be submitted in English. Please read the information and guidelines below before submitting your abstract.

General information:

Abstracts must be submitted in English and limited to 250 words. The presenting author's contact details are to be used when submitting the abstract to avoid miscommunication relating to the abstract submission and review process. Confirmation of abstract submission and notification of acceptance will be sent out by e-mail only.
In the end of November 2021, the abstract will be rated and the authors will recieve notification shortly after.
Multiple abstract submissions are permitted.
Please ensure the abstract is proof read carefully before submitting, as changes or additions will not be accepted after the call for abstracts closes.
Remember to include a valid e-mail address for confirmation of receipt of the abstract submission and ongoing communication.
The presenting author is to be the first author listed on the abstract where there is more than one author.
Abstracts will not be edited for content. Please check for typographical errors.

Abstract guidelines and instructions
The abstract should be structured as follows:
- Background
- Materials and methods
- Results
- Conclusions
Abstracts must contain original data and meet international ethical standards.
Abbreviations should be defined and trade names are not allowed in the title, but may be accepted (in brackets) in the body.
References (maximum 2) can be included.

Review
The submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the NUGA board and some abstracts will be chosen for oral presentations. The authors will be notified if they have been chosen or not shortly in the end of November 2023.
Oral presentations are to be held in English (slide language optional). You will have 5 minutes for your presentation and are recommended to use 5-6 PowerPoint slides to illustrate your study. After your presentation a 5 minute discussion in English or Scandinavian will follow.
