CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Neurodiversity in the Workplace

A Collaborative National Conference

March 22–24, 2023

Marriott Marquis, Washington, DC

901 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001

Join the collaborative conference that brings together a community that is committed to improving employment outcomes for the neurodiverse workforce.

Kennedy Krieger Institute's Neurodiversity at Work program takes a multi-faceted approach to hiring and retaining individuals of all abilities as part of the workforce. Neurodiversity at Work is a collective impact initiative designed to create and support gainful employment for individuals with disabilities, providing economic benefit for businesses and the larger community.

For our 2023 Neurodiversity in the Workplace Conference, we are accepting proposals for presentations highlighting workforce training and development and focusing on improving recruitment, management, and retention strategies for the neurodiverse workforce. In particular, we welcome proposals that focus on innovative, data-driven strategies that are having a positive impact on employment outcomes. We also welcome proposals reflecting the efforts of community organizations, individuals, educational institutions and agencies that provide vocational support to individuals with disabilities. We are especially interested in insights and best practices that promote collaboration, strategic partnerships, research and advancement to policy.

Program Format

Presentations should use educational, networking, debate, multimedia or resource-sharing methods in one of the formats below. Multiple submissions are welcome. Presentations that explicitly promote products or services will be rejected.

  • Dynamic Discussion (60 minutes) – This roundtable format allows presenters to facilitate interactive discussions between session attendees.

  • Presentation (60 minutes) – An interactive presentation on an identified topic.
