Call for Proposals Instructions


Get Started


The 2025 Internet2 Community Exchange - being held April 28-May 1, 2025 in Anaheim, CA - showcases the community spirit which transforms the way research and scholarship are conceived and conducted. We are looking for proposals for sessions (presentations, panels, and lightning talks), working meetings, and posters in these areas:


  • Leveraging Advanced Networking
  • Cloud Services and Solutions
  • Security Concerns, Collaborations, and Solutions
  • Challenges & Opportunities with Emerging Technologies


Whether you are a first-timer or a veteran at this event, please take a look at the “Best Practices,” “Program Cycle,” and “Who Attends” pages in the top nav bar before submitting a proposal. Types of submissions include: Sessions (track talks), Workshops (collaborative events), and Working Meetings (BoFs, SIGs, Other).


Internet2 has transitioned to a new event management system. Please read and follow the steps below to submit your proposal.



Getting Started with Your Proposal Submission


First, you must select "Login" from the menu bar above to access the proposal system and select "New User." Completing this information will provide authentication details that will be linked to your proposal. Once you have completed this step, your information will be retained for any further proposal submissions for 2025 Community Exchange.


Once you have created a profile (or logged in after doing so), you are able to access "Submissions" on the top nav bar. Under "Your Submissions" please click the "add new" to create a proposal.


Creating and Submitting Your Proposal


Under "Your Submission" please click the "add new" tab to create your proposal. You will be promoted to indicate the type of session you are submitting. Those are:


  1. Session Proposal: Options include solo presentation, panel, moderated debate, lightning talks, or facilitated discussion
  2. Workshops: Options include 1/2-day or full-day. Note: Separate registration is required!
  3. Working Meeting: Options include Working Group (WG), Special Interest Group (SIG), Birds of a Feather (BoF), Closed Meeting, and Other


Once you have selected the appropriate proposal type for your content, the system will prompt you with additional questions and options to select.


If you have successfully submitted your proposal, an auto-generated email will be sent to the email address you provided to confirm your submission has been received.
