Submission Guidelines
From 3 April 2023 we are only accepting submissions of late-breaking abstracts.

Late-Breaking Abstracts
Accepted abstract papers will be presented at the Congress as either Oral Abstracts or ePosters. They will also be published as a supplement to FIGO’s International Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics (IJGO). The Scientific Programme Committee will select a few outstanding abstracts, whose authors will be invited to submit a full paper to the IJGO. There is a 250-word limit for each abstract paper submission. The online submission form is divided into the following sections:
Objective: Concise statement on why the study was conducted.
Method: Location, number and type of human subjects, non-human species or material being studied. Design of the study and type of intervention. Principal assays or test(s) performed and the types of statistical analyses if appropriate.
Results: Main findings and results should be reported. Results should be supported by statistical analysis where appropriate.
Conclusions: Main conclusions of the study and significance of the results. How the results may affect patient management or understanding of the condition.
Proof read your abstract carefully before submitting. Abstracts will be published in the IJGO supplement as submitted. Only use standard abbreviations if indicated, e.g. if using the abbreviation ‘FIGO’ you must first use the full spelling of ‘International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO)’. Abstracts stating merely that the results will be presented or discussed at the congress will be rejected. The use of tables and images in the abstract is not allowed.
A maximum of one presentation will be permitted to each presenting author. Only the presenting author’s name will appear in the final Congress programme. All co-author names will be published in the IJGO. The presenting author must be a registered Congress delegate. Presenting authors will be notified regarding acceptance of their abstract and given a deadline by which to register. Failure to register in time may result in exclusion from the programme and IJGO supplement.

Important Caveats
Since FIGO Paris 2023 will be an in-person event, all Chairpersons, speakers and designated presenters must be available to present in-person at the Paris Convention Centre between 9–12 October 2023, and on 13 October 2023 for post-Congress workshops.
Some sessions will be recorded at the Paris Convention Centre, and speakers will be required to agree to FIGO’s use of the recording after the session has taken place. Speakers will be informed of this requirement if the proposal is accepted.
All Chairpersons, speakers and designated presenters will be required to register as a Congress delegate in order for their presentation to be included in the final programme.
The host(s) and/or faculty of an accepted submission will be responsible for their own equipment, travel, accommodation and registration costs.
All Chairpersons, speakers and designated presenters will be required to complete a Conflict of Interest (COI) form. COI should be declared at the point of submission.
Preference will be given to submissions with speakers from different geographical regions and interactive formats.
The Scientific Programme Committee welcomes submissions for all submission types in English, French or Spanish. Submissions in other languages will not be reviewed or accepted.
There is no limit on how many submissions one person or organisation can submit. However, only one submission per individual or organisation will be accepted.
The Scientific Programme Committee reserves the right to reassign the type of a submission at its discretion.
Submissions which have been presented at other international meetings or have previously been published will not be accepted.
