Are you a skilled instructor who can lead a training on business skills, new ways of working, communication and presentation skills, leadership development, project management/process integration, strategic application and governance (by discipline), or strategic planning and implementation? PMI TRAINING WANTS YOU!

What is PMI Training? 
PMI Training provides a highly interactive small-group experience led by dynamic instructors, both in person and virtual, that offers courses dedicated to driving project success and professional development. These trainings address hot topics and megatrends related to the PMI Talent Triangle® – a combination of expertise in Ways of Working, Power Skills, and Business Acumen, as well as digital skills. Each PMI Training offers attendees the chance to earn professional development units (PDUs) aligned to the PMI Talent Triangle
®. 

Become a PMI Training Instructor
PMI Training Instructors will lead one- to four-hour or one- to four-day deep dive trainings about a specific topic. Trainings should provide an interactive learning environment with a blend of didactic instruction, that fosters
information sharing between instructors and attendees. PMI offers PMI Training events throughout the year, each one providing numerous individual trainings for participants to attend.  

The selection process is highly competitive, so preparation is key!

What we are looking for:

The following core areas support PMI Training programming:

  • Business Skill Enhancement: Deepen participants' understanding of the techniques and skills needed to effectively manage in-person or virtual teams, drive sound decisions, leverage problem-solving skills and influencing for success. Strong negotiation and conflict management can shift a team from good to great. These hands-on trainings will provide insights to help participants approach their work in a meaningful way for both project teams and project management teams.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Participants learn to position themselves as bridge builders by effectively communicating across business lines and cultural differences to a global workforce ensuring clarity and alignment of messages. Effective leaders know how to effectively communicate with and adapt to their audience. Participants will enhance their image and learn to deliver impressive presentations in these trainings.
  • Leadership Development: From science to practice, leadership styles are individual and must be tailored to one's style and based on the needs of a team. Participants select the leadership course to most effectively build their inherent qualities and strengths.
  • Project Management/Business Analysis: A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) along with practice guides, including Requirements Management: A Practice Guide, provides practitioners with clear guidance on the tasks and techniques around specific types of projects. These trainings are designed to build knowledge across the fundamental practices needed to achieve organizational results and excellence in the practice of project management and business analysis.
  • Strategic Application and Governance: In today's ever-changing and complex world, understanding how, why and when to apply a variety of approaches will be the roadmap to success. Solid understanding of methodologies along with creativity will be the roadmap for tomorrow's leaders.
  • Strategic Planning and Implementation: Participants will set themselves apart from their peers by demonstrating the ability to implement strategy and ensuring organizational alignment. These courses will introduce concepts for participants to customize to meet organizational needs.​​​​​​​

  • Helpful Hints for Creating a Proposal: Submitters are encouraged to review in advance of submitting, as this details timelines and deliverables should your proposal be selected for further review and consideration.

  • PMI Training: 2023 Instructor Agreement: Submitters will be asked to confirm their agreement, acting on behalf of any applicable co-instructors, and provide an electronic signature when completing their user profile for the Call for Proposals Platform.
