CALL FOR INNOVATIVE IDEAS


Thank you for your interest in sharing the innovative way you use Cityworks to meet the needs of your community. Your stories enrich the Cityworks Innovate Conference by inspiring and educating your peers. When you share your success story, you can help move us all closer to the common goal of empowering GIS intelligence to create resilient, sustainable, and safe communities.


We are accepting presentation abstracts through March 17, 2022. Completed submissions will be reviewed and ranked. Before you get started, be sure to review the frequently asked questions below.



Q: When does the call for presentations open and close?

A: The call for presentations for Innovate will open in early January 2022. Abstracts are due by March 17, 2022.


Q: Who can submit an abstract? 

A: We welcome presentation ideas from all Cityworks users. Business partners must include a client as the primary presenter. Presentations must focus on the client's success and how the Cityworks GIS-centric platform provided a solution.


Q: Do I need to make a new account if I submitted an abstract last year? 

A: Yes, everyone will need to make a new account.

Q: How do I submit an abstract?

A: First, click the “Log In” link above (also available here). On the log in page, select “New User? Click Here” to create your account. Once your account is created, log in and click “Submissions” and “Add New.” Submissions will be accepted through February 25, 2022.


Q: What topic should I submit?

A: We are looking for a wide array of public asset management and community improvement topics that are innovative, engaging, inspiring, and informative. Conference attendees are interested in hearing best practices from agencies around the world and in their neighboring communities. 

Presentations will be organized into the following general tracks:


  • Asset Management

  • Community Development, Planning, and Permits

  • Data Analytics

  • Emergency Management

  • Facility and Vertical Asset Management

  • Integrations and Innovation (APIs, IoT, SCADA, AI, digital twin, etc)


Q: What information is required?

A: When you submit your abstract, be prepared to include the following:


  • An engaging, descriptive title

  • Name, job title, organization, and email address for each presenter and co-presenter

  • A high-quality photo for each presenter to be used on the website and in other event promotion channels.

  • A brief description of your presentation topic, with 1-3 useful things people will take away from your session. 


Q: Can I make changes to my presentation abstract after I submit?

A: You can edit your submission any time through the submission closing date.
