Welcome to the ISPE-CaSA 2022 Technology Conference Call for Abstracts

We are excited to host our 29th annual ISPE-CaSA Technology Conference on February 15, 2022 at the Raleigh Convention Center. The planning process is underway and we are seeking speakers to help solidify our education track.

The events of 2020 forced major change within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. From social distancing and working from home to the expedited release of vaccines, we proved that no matter the circumstances, our dedicated professionals and industry leaders will always find a way to push innovation forward.

The uncertainty felt at the height of the pandemic has shifted greatly since then. Growth and prosperity are flourishing as evidenced by vast employment opportunities, novel drug/therapy development, and new businesses flocking to the area in droves. In 2020 in North Carolina alone, the state recorded $3+ billion in investments, creating 4,800+ life sciences jobs. In the first half of 2021, the state has hailed 15 industry announcements, reflecting $2.9+ billion in investment and the creation of 2,686 life sciences jobs.

The Southeast is home to many world-class higher education institutions and pioneers of research and development. As the need for skilled professionals expands, fresh talent is being recruited from area colleges as well as those reentering the workforce or exploring a career change.

What does this mean for the region in the future? Time will tell, but without a doubt, the necessity for continued progress, expansion and collaboration across the industry is only going to increase. To dig into what potential needs will look like as well as what the response may be, the 2022 ISPE-CaSA Tech Conference is focusing on three main areas:

    • Technology - explore new innovations for research, development and manufacturing

    • Talent - the big question, where will firms find their next crop of skilled employees, and how to train and retain them

    • Transformation - from unprecedented collaboration, continued growth of gene therapy and the proliferation of novel therapies and technologies we have yet to imagine...how do we set ourselves up for continued success in an ever-changing landscape?

The deadline for abstracts to be considered for ISPE-CaSA Technology Conference 2022 is Saturday, November 13, 2021.  Whether it involves an innovative use of technology, or a novel approach to life sciences, consider submitting an abstract for a podium presentation across one or more of these educational tracks. All vendor companies are required to partner with an end user to present a case study or panel discussion during their presentations.  We will have an Emerging Leaders 101 Series track, along with a Women in Pharma track, so please take this into consideration as you are submitting your topics. You can submit more than one abstract per company and it can be the same topic for entry level (101 series) and intermediate/advanced for the education track.

To submit an abstract you must first create a Login/Password
