A primary focus of marketing, communication and media relations divisions is often on getting media coverage via pitching stories and interview topics. A sub-set of strategic relationship marketing can work in tandem with this approach by utilizing an individual’s personal and professional affiliations to further amplify messaging, open doors to speaking and presentation engagements, and establish leaders as experts in their field.
