NSAC 2016

Scholarships

Financial assistance for the 2016 National Sexual Assault Conference will be offered in the form of travel scholarships which can cover your mode of travel to and from the conference as well as lodging costs. The decision for these scholarships will be made by the National Sexual Assault Conference Scholarship Committee staffed by employees of the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape and the National Sexual Violence Resource Center and based solely on the information you provide on the following application.

All participants are expected to pay the conference registration fee prior to applying for the travel award and no funds will be conferred until the registration fee has been paid.

The theme of the conference this year- Hopeful Future, Honored Past- reflects our ongoing commitment to honor the successes and struggles of our movement as we look toward the future with optimism. In that spirit, we ask you to provide information to help us make an informed decision.   We are prioritizing full time staff at sexual assault and dual centers who work specifically and predominantly with underserved populations as defined below. In addition, we are prioritizing assistance for applicants who are traveling a great distance. Our decision will include the demographic information you share as well as brief responses to questions. Each application will be reviewed by a minimum of two people.  We are committed to an open and straightforward process.  If you have specific questions regarding this application please email Alexa Livelsberger at alivelsberger@pcar.org

A link to the scholarship application will be located in your confirmation email after you have registered for the conference.

Please note: In order to apply for a travel scholarship you must first register for the National Sexual Assault Conference. Upon registration you will receive a link to apply in your confirmation email. Deadline for scholarship applications is May 31, 2016 11:59 EST.
