Continuing Education 
INS’ educational programs are designed specifically for the specialty practice of infusion therapy. The INS Annual Convention and Industrial Exhibition offers presentations that address the eight core areas of infusion therapy: antineoplastic/biologic therapy, fluid and electrolyte balance, infection prevention, parenteral nutrition, special populations, pharmacology, technology and clinical applications, and transfusion therapy. 

Overall Program Goal 
INS is committed to providing educational sessions that enhance and expand the knowledge and skills used by infusion nurses and allied health care professionals in the delivery of safe, efficient, quality care to patients receiving infusion therapy. 

Overall Program Objectives 
After attending sessions at the 2015 Annual Convention, each attendee will be able to: 
  1. Identify evidence-based practices that can be applied to an individual’s practice setting. 
  2. List various innovations in infusion therapy. 
  3. Identify strategies to develop professional growth, competency, and accountability specific to the specialty of infusion nursing. 
Target Audience 
The continuing nursing education sessions that comprise the INS Annual Convention are directed toward nurses and other health care professionals involved in the practice of infusion therapy across all practice settings and in all specialties and patient populations.
